DAKAR 2018 – Virtual Reality / BTL

From December 3 to 5, the Village Dakar, one of the main events of the Dakar calendar, was held at the headquarters of the Peruvian Army Headquarters, known as the Pentagonito, which is the largest and most demanding rally event in the world. Within this scenario, motor sports fans were able to follow the exhibition of official vehicles, simulators and share with the pilots of this competition. With the aim that the Dakar 2018 attendees can live this experience closely, the Inmerzum team turned the attendees into co-pilots of Sébastien Loeb. To do this, we developed a Virtual Reality solution for the two-time Dakar champion, Peugeot. Where everyone who used the VR headsets was on board the famous Peugeot 3008 DKR, and could feel the adrenaline rush of running the toughest race on the planet, as well as feel first-hand what happens during the stages of the Dakar Rally. All this, taking into account the great Sébastien Loeb, a nine-time world champion pilot. In this way, we managed to bring the experience of being inside a Dakar car and the champion team a little closer.
